Blue Cross of India is a private nonprofit animal shelter in located Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The shelter houses rescued animals of all types - abandoned and injured dogs and cats, rescued farm animals, even laboratory animals. One of their programs is a "trap-neuter-release" program that captures street dogs, brings them to the shelter's hospital facility, neuters them and lets them recuperate before returning them to the area where they were originally captured.
